Philosophy: Some coaches try to offer different levels of training. I don't believe that works. My rate is $200 a month, with as much contact as necessary. At times this amounts to one call or e-mail a week, just to see how things are going. Other times there is much, much more than that. A contact structure cannot, by its very nature, accomodate for times when an athlete has problems, or issues which require more contact than "One hour a month".

Life gets in the way, and schedules need to be modified.  Most everyone who pushes their body to the limit manages to get sick once or twice a year.  This requires contact with ones coach to determine the best possible balance between resting to let the body recover, while at the same time not losing too much fitness.  Again, not possible with 4 e-mails a month.

The fee of $200 a month includes:

Monthly schedule, personalized to your goals, and individual schedule.  Available group rides are also factored in, including their intensity, terrain, and duration.  Most athletes enjoy the social aspects of cycling, thus for long-term enjoyment and continued participation, group rides are encouraged.  Just choose the right ones in order to meet your training needs.

If feasible, fee includes monthly face to face time with Ron.  This can be on the bike during group rides, during one-on-one rides, or over coffee, as needed.

Fee includes bike fit, as often as necessary.  Why as often as necessary?  Many situations can arise where a bike fit is required, even after initially setting up a comfortable, powerful position.  Situations include:  equipment change, special events ( i.e. Time Trials), or to address problems.

Fitness tests as needed.  Using a CompuTrainer, fitness can be assessed easily and accurately.  Tests require about an hour, and can be requested as often as an athlete wishes.

Advise on a variety of topics, including: equipment, race preparation, tactics, nutrition, injury prevention and recovery methods.
